The Mission Is A Go!
The first leg of the journey to Honduras began for most of the mission team members at 5:30 am at Dallas/Forth Worth International Airport. The team took a short flight to Houston, where they changed planes for the 3 hour flight to Honduras.
At the baggage claim in San Pedro Sula they found that only 17 of the 40 bags of medical, dental, and Christian Ed supplies had actually made it aboard the plane in Houston. With assurances from the airline that the missing supplies would be transported to the hotel in Siguatepeque, the team boarded a bus for the 2 hour drive into the mountains.
At the hotel the team met up with members of the advance team who had traveled two days earlier to set up the clinic. After a delicious dinner at the hotel, the team celebrated the eucharist, lead by the Reverend Canon Neal Michell, then off to be to prepare for an early morning and a long first day of work.
